Your favorite gym in the area?

I used to go to Anytime Fitness in Newbury, then switched to Equinox in Westlake and loved it. But it just felt way too pricey for what they offered, then I switched over to Golds/EŌS fitness in TO.

I loved it when it was Golds Gym, but now the vibe has changed. The staff feels very meh, it doesn’t have that Golds Gym vibe anymore and I can’t even get their app to work to check in and it’s been months. So far a very disappointing experience.

The only reason I keep it is because of the Sauna and Massage chairs. I don’t think any of the gyms have this? Even Equinox only had a steam room.

What’s your favorite gym? I think I’m willing to give up the sauna if the vibe of the gym felt better and the staff was actually great.

Thank you

Any other experiences similar to the Kids Club?

Just gotta say, the experience having a kids club on board was incredible. I’ve never experienced the amount of ease and accessibility and comfort it provided.

Before this, my wife and I rarely ever get any days off without our son. We occasionally get a babysitter but usually it’s for an event or a dinner and it’s honestly just a lot of work to even get one. We don’t have family nearby so it’s just us.

The kids club to us felt like how a village could be to us. A lot of times he wasn’t even there for more than an hour, but it just felt so good and easy to drop him off real quick, then have a cup of coffee in silence then pick him up then go to the pool, etc.

Are there any other experiences that come close to this? The closest that we experienced was at a resort in Mexico we could pay to drop off for childcare.

Do US hotels or resorts even do this?

Thank you!

Hey there! August is my wife’s birthday and my son will be out of school. What are the chances space available will open during that time?

I don’t really care about the specifics of the cruise, but it’s gotta be during the second week in August.

Are my chances high? Should I wait and check every week?

Right now I only see June and July at the latest, so I’m guessing August will open up next month or so?

Thank you!

Disney Wonder! Wanted to share some photos I took aboard. First time and we are hooked!

Oh wow. Just a week ago we didn’t even know we would be going on a cruise, let alone a Disney cruise and now we’re absolutely hooked.

Recently got hired at Disney, got a deal and managed to book one a week out.

And man, we’re hooked! We live close by San Diego so it was an easy trip for us but this time we don’t even mind flying over to Florida to try other cruises. We always wanted to go to the Caribbean and this just seems like a no brainer of a plan especially with a cast discount. I even see they have Mediterranean ones, so tempting!

Our 5 year old absolutely loved it and we did too. I honestly did not know what to expect. I think in my head I was thinking this would be a resort in the ocean, but it’s so much more. I think I read somewhere that this was pretty much like Vegas for families and it’s such a great analogy.

Day 1 I was still figuring things out and trying to “relax” or “vacation” but by day 3 it was just awesome fun times. My son did not want to leave the kids club at 11pm and usually his bedtime is at 8pm. My wife and I actually had a dinner date night that day and it was amazing.

What a life.

Any ideas on the next one? Any itineraries or ships we should next? I really wanna maximize my son’s age now I think the next 5 years would be prime for these cruises and adventures.

Thank you!!

I’m taking a few days off and I’m going to go to Disney and take a cruise. I didn’t tell work about any specifics, just said I needed the days off.

I don’t really like talking about my private life, but I also don’t want to seem like I’m hiding anything so I’m wondering if they know I’m going.

For example if my manager says “how was the break?” I don’t really wanna say I went to Disney etc. but if they already know I don’t want it to seem I’m being secretive.

I don’t work for the parks or in-person anything. I’m remote salaried employee and I’m behind the scenes so no relation to the parks or the cruise line.

So do they know? Thanks!
