Happy Glocktober!

On top is my bedside G19.5 and below is my new CCW G48 MOS. Built in similar ways, the G19 still shoot better but the G48 is real close and conceals way better.

WW2 Koa Isshin Mantetsu Shin Gunto

興亞一心 = Kōa Isshin.
満鐵作 = Mantetsu saku = Made by SMR.
昭和癸未春 = Spring 1943
**ヒ**三六五 = HI-365

For the longest time I’ve been after a good WW2 shin gunto and this sword and its friends showed up on fb marketplace. Unfortunately I could only afford to take a cheaper one home at the time and my first choice was a run of the mill arsenal made showato sword made by a Seki smith aliased Kanetaka. It was a wonderful example with a signed tang that could be easily traced back. But if I only wanted one example to display, my thoughts ran back to this one.

After doing some research with the help of Redditors, the seller was kind enough to take the other sword back and I purchased this one instead. I think what really drew me back to this sword after learning it was a Koa Isshin Mantetsu, was how it blends the historical design of a Japanese sword with knowledge of modern science to make an excellent quality product.

A good read on these swords here: https://www.japaneseswordindex.com/koa.htm

Shin Gunto Smith Identification

So I’m just curious why the seller of my previously posted sword was selling this for a higher price. He wanted around $2000 for this. Given the file marks and slightly visible hamon, could this be a more antique blade? I’m having trouble figuring out the smith name to do further research.

G48 MOS Reddit Special Setup

Going back to the Glock platform with a G48 MOS for my CCW having carried my Sig P365x for the last year. Still gotta add my grips later and keeping the trigger OEM until it’s broken in more. Compared to my P365x with 15 round mags, the G48 is slightly shorter grip length with flush mags. Longer slide is no problem concealing.

List of parts:
Vortex Defender CCW
Streamlight TLR7 Sub
Radian Ramjet
Vicker’s Tactical Racker back plate
Black Steel USA gas pedal
Aggressive Arms suppressor height sights
Steel City magwell
Tyrant extended slide release
Glock OEM 15 round mags
Trex Arms sidecar holster
Vedder Wedge

Mosin ID Request and Valuation

I believe this is a Polish M44 with a mismatched bolt. Wondering if there’s any other background info yall can dig up on it and what the value would be for its condition? There’s a little surface rust I plan to clean off.

Help Authenticating SA Dagger Before Buying

Nothing screams fake about this to me but I wanted more opinions. Was planning to source the handle eagle insignia to add back later. Thoughts?

LGS has 3x Mosins

1x Ex-Sniper and 2x Finnish Captures. Anything interesting about them? They seem run of the mill and I value them to be around $500-600. Ex-Sniper is matching, first Finnish is not matching which is typical and the second Finnish is force matched. I already have an Accuracy Mosin rifle so if I got another it’d have to be real interesting.
