Writing has been a fascinating journey for me because it has allowed me to explore two very different worlds.

I've always been drawn to forgotten places, hidden rituals, ancient mysteries, and the unsettling feeling that some truths are better left undiscovered. That fascination led me to write my first psychological-supernatural horror novel in Tamil, ஐந்தாவது தீபம்.

At the same time, my love for epic fantasy, lost civilizations, and ancient secrets inspired me to create The Ember Crown: A Tale of the Ashenveil, the first book in The Ashenveil Chronicles.

As a self-published author, seeing even a single reader step into the worlds I've created has been incredibly rewarding.

If you enjoy mystery, psychological horror, supernatural stories, or epic fantasy filled with ancient mysteries and forgotten magic, I'd be grateful if you checked out a few chapters and shared your thoughts.

📖 ஐந்தாவது தீபம்

What keeps you invested in an epic fantasy series?

As a lifelong fantasy reader, I've always been fascinated by the elements that make readers fall in love with a series and eagerly wait for the next book.

For me, it's:

• Ancient mysteries and forgotten histories.
• Characters who are reluctant heroes rather than chosen saviors from the beginning.
• Rich world-building that feels alive.
• Lost magic and legends that slowly reveal themselves.

I'm curious—what keeps you turning the pages of an epic fantasy novel?

Are there any books or series that completely immersed you in their world?

Readers of progression fantasy: what kinds of power systems keep you hooked?

I'm a huge fan of progression fantasy and recently finished my own epic fantasy novel, The Ember Crown.

One thing I wrestled with while writing was deciding how quickly characters should grow stronger and how much mystery to leave around the magic system.

I'm curious:

  • Do you prefer clearly defined magic systems?
  • Slow progression or rapid growth?
  • Character-driven stories or action-heavy plots?

I'd love to hear everyone's preferences.

I wrote an epic fantasy novel about a world that lost its sun's fire

After a lot of revisions and more cups of coffee than I can count, I finally finished and published my first epic fantasy novel, The Ember Crown.

The story takes place in Ashenveil, where the fire of the lesser sun was stolen centuries ago, leaving the world in endless winter.

It features:

  • Lost magic
  • Ancient kingdoms
  • A shattered crown
  • Forgotten secrets
  • A reluctant hero

This is Book One of a larger series called The Ashenveil Chronicles, and I'm excited to finally share it with readers.

Would you read a horror story with this premise?

A woman returns to her forgotten ancestral home after hearing a mysterious voice calling her back in the middle of the night.

Inside the house:

  • five ritual lamps remain untouched
  • an unfinished ceremony was abandoned years ago
  • something seems to appear only after midnight

The horror slowly escalates over three nights.

I’ve been experimenting with slow-burn psychological horror rooted in South Indian supernatural folklore.

Looking for dark psychological horror on Kindle Unlimited?

I recently released a Tamil supernatural horror novel called “ஐந்தாவது தீபம்” (Ainthaavathu Deepam).

It’s centered around:

  • unfinished rituals
  • ancestral secrets
  • haunted isolation
  • psychological fear
  • supernatural folklore

The story is atmospheric and slow-burning, inspired by Indian/Tamil horror themes rather than Western-style horror tropes.

Now available worldwide on Kindle Unlimited.

Hey guys,

I need help with my resume. I have been applying for jobs daily over the past 2 months and have applied to nearly 200+ companies. To date, no one has replied to my job application or responded to my emails. I'm at my wits ' end, guys.

Is there anything I'm missing in my resume? Thought a new pair of eyes might help with optimising my resume. I tried to make it as ATS-friendly as possible.

Reviews are greatly appreciated, guys. If the reviews can help me land a job faster would be great.

Thanks in advance.
