What are you replacing your leaf with?

Since my battery failed after two dealers said my battery was perfectly fine, it's now getting a buyback. I don't know how much they'll offer as it's a 19 SV with 69k miles.

I'll need a new car of course, shocking with electric but not Nissan.

Curious as what others will be doing.

Being in Texas is liked comes seats but that seems super rare in the used market at least

Is this the recall DTC?

I've posted a few times now, after doing the recall, told them about my battery fluctuation issues, they said nothing was wrong, went to a different dealer and after 4 weeks they also determined my Leaf was fine. Took it home, charged up, and this morning I got in my car to go to work and it won't start lol

DTC: P0AA6-1A, and P31E7-00

I should note BOTH dealers did not level 3 charge my car, just did around 20% using a level 2/1 presumably. First dealer had a busted charger. After picking up my Leaf at the second dealer I did a level 3 charge there for 20 minutes as I didn't trust my battery at 30%

Nissan claims there is no issue with my 19 Leaf

Previously posted a video of range fluctuation and my post recall experience: https://www.reddit.com/r/leaf/s/flHUAuMuiK

After that video I took it to another dealer, and they've had it for nearly 4 weeks, it's mostly been sitting from what I can tell using the EV services app to check SOC.
They claimed they're limited on EV techs so they haven't had much time to look at it.
They wanted to keep it longer than their initial drive as they had some sort of issue and wanted to charge then try again.

So two weeks later, they've determined nothing is wrong, and battery report is normal.
Throughout this time I also had a case open with Consumer Affairs, and not much came from it outside of the periodic updates, which was better than what the dealer was doing since it was impossible to get a hold of the service advisor.

I find it hilarious Nissan, and all these techs thing having fluctuating/non-existent range on the last 30% of the battery is normal.
I've been without a car this whole time, and I was bugging the dealer to give me a rental for the past few days but could never get in touch with the advisor until today when they finally called me to tell me to pick up my Leaf.

This whole experience has been frustrating, and I can't see myself getting another of their cars, at least an electric with how long both of my dealer service experiences have been.
8 days for the recall update, and to determine nothing was wrong with the battery per the first dealer.
3+ weeks for the second dealer to determine my battery is fine.

Considering cheap 2011 or 2016 Sonata Hybrid

Considering 2011 or 2016 Sonata Hybrid

Hi folks, looking to pick up a cheap car locally temporarily due to being laid off and no longer being able to pay current car, 2019 Nissan Leaf, on top of some recall and reliability issues with it, hoping to get a buyback or just sell it once they're done diagnosing things.

Anyway, I've got some options locally:

2011 Sonata Hybrid @ 169k miles for $2k

Or

Repo'd 2016 Sonata Hybrid @189k miles for $1.5k, however it has broken headlights and tail lights.

I'm concerned about engine issues especially at this mileage being out of warranty.

If they're in good condition I have no problems doing my own maintenance, that said I don't plan ok keeping it long, just until I get stable again and can get a new car again.

Considering forgetting about these cars and paying a few thousand more for an older Prius with more miles as they can seemingly be more dependable.

Post Recall Update - Leaf 19

A week or so ago I dropped off my 19 Leaf for the recall, eventually got it back a week later.
In the end they claimed nothing was wrong with range fluctuation, no DTC code post update.

Today I took the car out to test in the range where I see the GOM range from 33% 44 miles @ 69,702 miles down to 1% -- miles @ 69,707 miles, and ending my drive with 10% 11 miles @ 69720

I'm surprised I didn't get the DTC post update, which makes me worry how worse those that do get the code are.
As it stands, I can't trust the GOM's indicated range at 50% or less SOC, I always took it with a grain of salt but at this point that lower half of the range doesn't exist to me.
Even LeafSpy claims I have a 29.7% SOC compared to the GOM's 11%

I'm not sure how to proceed with this car, and since I'm not getting a buyback as I haven't gotten the code, I'm ready to move on to something else.

Summary of Recall experience from previous post:
Day 1: No contact from service guy, called in, they were already out for the day.

Day 2: Called again, talked to service guy, they said it was still being worked on, but would contact the tech working on my car and get back in.
Got a call back, tech said they need to do a test drive.
Eventually got another call back, tech experienced an error message ("Check Engine" light) while test driving, they wanted to keep it longer to do further testing, and also offered a rental if needed.

Day 3: No contact, but I checked my battery SOC in the EV&Services app, and noticed my Leaf is currently at about 30 miles of range, so probably somewhere between 20-30% SOC.

Day 4: No update expected since it's Sunday, dealer closed.

Day 5: Called in twice to finally be able to speak to service advisor, was told no testing was able to be do e due to extremely heavy rain, it's been raining a ton here in Houston, TX.

Day 6: Called in to arrange a rental, ended up a Kicks, they have a 26 Leaf in the fleet but it's apparently under maintenance, kinda odd considering the car has only been available for a few months.
No update on my car at all but it has been raining although not very heavy. Still have been checking in with EV services app, and soc still shows about 30 miles of range, so doesn't look like my car has been touched since Friday, day 2

Day 7: no update.

Day 8: was called by advisor to pick up my Leaf, no more errors that they could replicate, so they're handing it off. Checked my app again and looks like my car was charged a little bit but only about 50 miles of range, I guess no 100% charge unless they drive it for 60ish miles in a day lol, doubtful

Hoping for a buyback, in for recall

I dropped off my 19 Leaf yesterday morning, had to call them today to see what's going on, apparently the tech still needs to do a test drive.

Based on my past experience driving this car I'm hoping for a buyback, range gets pretty flakey below 40%, it's jumped from 41% to 19% and back up to 36% in a 18 mile highway drive and leaf spy shows an HX of 38%. I don't expect the GOM to be very accurate, but having the lower half of my battery be a roulette is awful.

AC leaked and destroyed ceiling, company claims no fault and blames a clogged drain

Edit: Additional images can be found here: https://imgur.com/a/JZTOgVF

This unit was installed just under a year ago and would be under labor warranty.

This caused my bathroom ceiling to collapse, due to the water damage.

As the ac company claimed it was a clogged drain I tried clearing the drain, attempted to use the ac again, same result.

Bypassed the drain connection so the discharge was going to a bucket, same result.

At this point I thought something else was wrong, called in a plumber they cut the drain cleared it out, there wasn't much in it, reinstalled it and same result. He did say the drain was smaller than what code calls for now and made a new 2 inch connection to a drain for both the drain pan and the drain line connected to the AC.

We've adjusted the electrical line where the drip was coming from so it wouldn't drip outside the drain pan.

With this cleared up, can I contact the ac company so they can fix this?

I've covered my bases so far in terms of what they're blaming for the leak, yet it would still be happening if I hadn't moved the electrical line from where they left it, there's little to no slack on it.
