(24H2) Just 9 more days until we're long-terming for reals

Mainstream support for Windows 11 24H2 ends October 13th, meaning from then on we'll officially reach the promised destination of exclusively security updates from here on out.

I've been on 24H2 Iot Enterprise LTSC this whole time and I'm very pleased with keeping it in this state, we got a lot more support out of it than normal by virtue of it getting basically all 25H2 updates. Copilot and AI integration got very de-emphasized in this last year of updates and we even got the Xbox gaming mode and taskbar updates. I think for me this will be my last Windows version as I'm not interested on what's next for 11 or Windows 12

So the story on how the Unabomber got caught is bull, right?

I have no idea what my brother's writing style is, and I think I couldn't care to know.

>Before the publication of Industrial Society and Its Future, Kaczynski's brother, David, was encouraged by his wife to follow up on suspicions that Ted was the Unabomber

Very normal and natural thought to have!

Should we not boycott Big Soda?

I am a very bright and conscious individual so I never put two and two together until now but Coca Cola doesn't spawn out of thin air. 1.5 trillion liters of perfectly drinkable water is turned into diabetes juice. Does this not keep anyone else awake at night?

Paper Mario static recomp port confirmed to be vibe coded

I'm not gonna use this post to moral grandstand about "AI bad" but I'll say you should manage your expectations with regard to this port going forward. Like any vibe coded project it is essentially unmaintainable, and I wouldn't expect to see all the features one expects added or for support to continue past more than a few months (If it isn't abandoned entirely). I would also be concerned about potential security vulnerabilities in the future and stability issues.
