Showing off and raffling off items at the Lacey Fun Fair
We assembled a bunk for this event. And we raffled off some power tools, some quilts that were too small for delivery, and a bed tent! We did not receive a lot of money.
But that doesn't matter. What matters is telling the community, that if they believe, there's a resource that can help kids who need a bed.
We're still new, and it takes awhile to build relationships. To build trust. To build your potential.
But regardless, you can find opportunities to prove your cause is worth the investment.
Getting kids off the floor means they are eight times less likely to develop diabetes. They are eight times less likely to develop childhood obesity, that follows them into adulthood.
They are more likely to attend school, and graduate.
They are more likely to stay in the communities we discover them in, and live in as adults.
So why not make their childhood better? Why not make your community better, at the root?
Because in the end, we only have each other.
