Will large recent deposits in my sponsor's bank account hurt my French student visa application?

My father is my financial sponsor. His bank account had around €3,000 for the past two months, but this month my uncle gifted him €7,000, and next month he'll send another €6,000. So the balance will have increased from about €3,000 to €16,000 over two months.

The money is a legitimate family gift, and I'll block the required amount as requested and prepare all documents , My concern is whether these recent large deposits could raise red flags or lead to a visa refusal, even if all my other documents are correct.

French Student Visa Financial Guarantor Instead of a Blocked Account?

Hi everyone,

I'm a Moroccan student currently preparing my application for a French student visa, and I have a few questions regarding the financial guarantee requirements.

  1. Is a blocked account (compte bloqué) mandatory if I have a financial guarantor living in France?
  2. Can my cousin, who lives and works in France with a stable and sufficient income, act as my main financial guarantor for my visa application? Or are guarantors generally limited to parents, uncles, aunts, or other specific family members?
  3. Has anyone a French student visa using a guarantor based in France instead of providing proof of funds through a blocked account?
  4. In your experience, does having a guarantor in France affect the chances of visa approval compared to using the blocked-account method? Is one option viewed more favorably by Campus France or the French consulate?

For context, my cousin and I are very close, and they are fully willing to support me financially during my studies in France.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through a similar situation, especially Moroccan students or anyone familiar with the French student visa process.

Thank you!

Merci d'avance !
