Speedometer is out and the most likely culprit is the VSS, although if there’s any other causes I don’t know of that would be very appreciated.

However finding a VSS is a pain, since it’s an old, mostly low aftermarket car. I’ve been told the sensor from a 96 RL would slip right on, so I found one but it’s $200. So I’d like to get second opinions & suggestions before jumping the gun.
