Same theme/concept, different fandom reactions.

A (non-related) follow-up to my previous post, I realized that the Tsundere Lost Arc has a similar theme to Suu’s own character development. While Suu didn’t try throwing away her personality to become a completely different person, and the way the conflict was resolved differed in both chapters, it essentially has the same concept, where both were afraid to be hated by the man they love, forcing themselves to do something rash or bold, hating a core part of yourself and later on developing for the sake of everyone that cared about them.

Maybe these two chapters differ in a wide marginal context, but I just wanted to point it out.

I got my brother to watch the anime (well, actually, he happened to just got interested when my little brother was watching and it was on the third to last episode), and I got into an argument because he didn’t like the Tsundere Lost Arc.

It got to the point where I’m confused myself. He says it was better for Karane to stay like that and be a different person because she wanted to, because she wanted to be able to express herself, and that everyone else was selfish for wanting her tsundere self back, and that the inly reason she did was because Rentarou just persuaded her.

I yaped how it’s because she hated/couldn’t accept herself and that she forced herself to change something she didn’t want to be a part of her. While Rentarou loved her for being exactly the tsundere person she is. Stuff like a want to change because she desires so and a want to change because she hated what she is are lightyears apart, but he just stood his ground. I’m not the best with words, so do you think that Karane changing would’ve actually been a better character development or is he just overthinking it all?

Alright whatever, my turn.

A few things in this list, I obviously don’t like having a least favorite and other categories related to it (aside from a few). I’m also a bit lost when it comes to official art, like what’ the difference between key visuals, official illustration, cover art etc. I just assumed Matsuri for everything as I love her design the most. I also would’ve left the middlemost category blank (I want to befriend them all), but I instead decided to befriend the man himself. Then again, he might suspect that I’m using him to advantage to get close to everyone here, which is true, but it’s only because I can’t choose more than one here (though on another hand I also like him just as much as everyone else). Weirdly, I don’t see my top 5 favorites a lot (Iku, Rin, Hasuha, Nemu, Usa-chan in order), might as well have stated it here.

Do ya’ll ever go to the Rent-a-Girlfriend sub, see a post, and compare it to our series (and end up wanting to have Rentarou punch Kazuya in the face for being incompetent /j)?

I may think of these series as rivaling (especially in terms of length), a post there asked what they would get in 500 chapters. As they were joking how Kazuya attempts to arrange their third date, we’re probably about to get girlfriend #65 in the chapter right after. I got a bit passive aggressive with my tone (despite never seeing that anime). What do ya’ll think of it?

Favorite animal-like but human character?

Tama Nekonari (cat), Shiina Usami (rabbit), and Hasuha Hasu (dog) from The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You.

The fact that their appearance and name reflect their personality is something. Tama quite literally threw away her humanity to become a cat (figuratively), Shiina is very clingy and is afraid of loneliness (like how a rabbit can die from loneliness), and Hasuha has a very keen nose, and likes smelling.

Where’s the next spin-off chapter?

The latest main chapter stated the next chapter was a spin-off, and I don’t think it said anything about them taking a break and posting it next week. Where’s my Iku’s siblings chapter?! GIVE ME SOMETHING IKU RELATED AAAAAAAAH—

How season 3 cannot get anymore controversial. Also, Yamame is just Yamame.

This is one of the first anime that made me read the manga lol, so this is the first time I‘m waiting for manga content to get adapted into the anime. I’ve heard that each season currently adapts 3 volumes (and around 25 chapters each), but it kinda looks like this season will have around 4 volumes (and 36 chapters). Although, ending the season on chapter 85 would be a really smart move.

I just want the Iku solo date and chapter 85 at least to be adpated.
