Kia Finance suddenly accepts credit card payments?

I was just checking my Kia Finance account to check how much I'd need to pay off the rest of my car today, and noticed something new.

Now they accept credit card payment along with the usual chequing account payment.

I didn't notice any extra service charge for paying with credit card when I took a good look at the details.

For all the Amex churners, no they only accept Visa & Mastercard.

Regretting the light trim

I recently got the EV6 2025 light in Ontario, Canada and while I do love the EV6, I really wish I got the GT line or wind for longer range and the heat pump. My daily commute is around 40-50km so a good charge would last me a week or so but when I traveled an hour north of toronto last Friday, I found the limitations of charging. I hate that it is one of the main speaking points of ICE users but it is true that the infrastructure hasn't really developed. Some may be able to find level 3 chargers for their midway trips but for this recent trip, I found some of them to either be not functional or be Tesla chargers. I know Tesla has opened their chargers to other vehicles of NACS ports but for some reason, all the ones I visited north of Toronto weren't working with my vehicle. They weren't even recognized on the Tesla app.

The main reason I chose this trim was because Kia was having a good APR of 1.99% while other trims were near 5% and up to near 10%. It just wasn't in my price range. I have considered getting a used 2024 EV6 but the idea of ICCU failures with vehicles that were returned so early just didnt sit right with me.

Maybe it's just my desire of wanting the latest and best stuff but I feel this feeling hanging around me. Just wanted to rant and get my thoughts out and hope that this is a feeling that will pass away. If anybody wants to point out any positive things that im not missing out on with higher trims, feel free to comment.

The MSRP is 39k for the EV4 and 45k for bolt. I have 10k to put down as well as the EVAP. In my area, bolt has a 2.99% finance rate while Kia is 4.99%. Im looking at around 172/bw for the bolt while 193/bw for the Kia.

The bolt has a heat pump included in their LT while the Kia EV4 light does not. Kia EV4 has a 58.3 kWh while the bolt has a 65kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The LIP battery is apparently not great for the winter and highway driving so there's that downside.

I do about 80-100km a day, 5 times a week. With about half hwy and half city driving. Looks and carplay are not important to me.

I want to know people's experiences with these vehicles and offer their opinions so that I can make a better decision. Thank you!
