Who is the saddest/most tragic character ever written in fantasy? From what I've read, I think it's Bremer dan Gorst from the First Law. I'll never get over his perspective in The Heroes or what happened in Sipani. A lot of first law characters apply here, but I am biased because I love those books. Thoughts?
