About to ask my doctor
I'll be following up on some labs with my doctor this week, and I'm going to ask him about getting on Wegovy, but I'm still trying to get over nervousness about asking.
Here's my situation:
I'm 5'7" and 300lb, with an A1c of 5.9 and elevated liver enzymes. I've lost a significant amount of weight multiple times in my life, only to gain it back over time -- 74lb in my teens, 60lb in my 20's. Now I'm in my 30's and need to lose over 100. I know how to put in the work, tracking macros and a calorie deficit, etc. But it's affecting my quality of life, and certainly no easier to accomplish than it was when I was younger.
As people with experience talking to your doctor about getting on a glp-1 like Wegovy, am I right to be asking about it, or am I right to worry he may tell me I'm not a good candidate for it?
