I got a beer kit from my dad who wants me to learn how to use it and do a trial run. I saw some comments about possibly doing a cider and that pique my curiosity soooo- should I just use the kit and follow step by step or should I try looking into making a cider?

I broke my leg, got surgery, and am getting cabin fever! Would love to find a group or anyone to go to the bar with or play billiards with or go to the comedy fort, anything! I’m pretty mobile currently just cannot walk.
