Help, strange noise coming from blower motor fan on portable air conditioner. Tried to clean it and give a little bit of oil but the problem still persists.
I can't remember the brand but I took this air conditioner apart a couple days ago. It's just been making this clinky noise that I'm not familiar with with the blower fan. cleaned around the blower motor and any other dust and build up I can see. When I was spinning it with my hand it was spinning freely I didn't feel anything rubbing against it already resistance so I just assumed it was just dirty. I put a little bit of oil where the motor attaches to the fan that oscillating rod silver rod( I am nowhere close to being any HVAC anything so I apologize with my terminology does not making any sense). Through everything back together check to make sure I put all the screws back etc, but it's still making this noise I'm not sure if I did something wrong or didn't even fix what the issue was in the first place just looking for some advice.
