What happened to my boy?
It took me a while to make this post, cause it took me a bit to come to terms with what happened. But a while ago as I was leaving for work, I noticed Kalphin had a torn top fin and was acting a bit lethargic. I didn’t notice the pink spot until later, but I had already resolved to give him a better look over when I got home. Unfortunately when I got home that night he had already passed. I immediately checked the water parameters and everything was fine, nitrates were a little high (40ish) but nothing crazy. I’d only had him about a year, and I now know koi betta can have a shorter lifespan than some other betta, but can anyone hazard a guess as to what happened? Maybe something I missed?
