Wtf is the LG warranty
I have a C4 that I bought completely new in November 2024 from a big tech store. A little over a week ago, I put in a request for repair of my panel, since it has great amounts of dead pixels. Well over a few hundred, right next to one another.
The warranty conditions clearly state that the warranty is 24 months, beginning at the date of purchase. I provided LG with the original invoice and receipt and expected they‘ll send someone over to repair without a problem.
However, they keep giving me some bullshit about how my TV was manufactured in March 2024 and thus isn‘t considered a new device anymore following their warranty guidelines. I tried three times via the new support, explicitly stating that their own policy disproves them but no chance. I then used the „letter to the CEO“ but they also won‘t budge.
What the actual fuck? The warranty they give was one of the main factors why I even bought their fault-prone OLED. How can they just deny warranty claims for reasons that aren‘t even in their policy?
Does anyone else have experience with this? Should I keep on pushing or should I just give up and never buy anything LG again?
