I have a 2014 Ram 1500 and the gas tank harness failed on June 5th. I immediately set up an appointment with the service department at a Ram dealership. They opened a ticket dated June 6th at 7:15am.

I found that there is an extended warranty on the part extending it to 12 years.

I was advised by the service manager that the warranty expired June 5th but since the invoice dated June 6th the warranty is not valid. I asked them to back date this to June 5th and was told they cannot as they could be fined.

I asked if they could extend the warranty in good faith. Due to the truck being old they cannot.

I called customer support and they stayed the same as the dealership.

Am I stuck paying for this? Any ideas?
