Wood panel installation

Just wanted some guidance on best practice. I am installing wood paneling (48”x96”) sheets over my popcorn plastered walls. I’m wondering, when installing them (I’ll be gluing and nailing into studs), should I hang the panels above the floor (1/4” or so off the floor) or should I have the panels be resting on the floor, to alleviate the weight off the walls? Thanks!

Slop sink faucet/ washing machine connection diagram

I am repiping my laundry area. It’s currently galvanized that runs to the existing slop sink (no faucet) and the washing machine is hooked up to where the slop sink faucet would be (seized up globe valves). I am starting from scratch as it’s all being removed.

What’s the best way to pipe my washing machine, as well as my slip sink hot/ cold lines? I have all the fittings already, just need some inspiration on most efficient way to run this. Thanks! Don’t need advice on drain lines, just need advice on the hookup end.
