Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out the cheapest way to solve a small payment issue and could use some guidance from people who have dealt with Wise, Apple subscriptions, or international transfers.

I have about $20 in my Wise account. The money wasn't paid to me through Wise. I converted some of my local currency into USD and deposited it into Wise because I needed a Wise account to activate a freelance onboarding setup for a project via Deel. Unfortunately, I wasn't selected for the project, and I don't currently have any ongoing income going into either that platform or Wise. At the moment, this $20 is the only digital balance I have available.

I need to use part of it to pay for a $9.99 iCloud subscription. This Apple ID is tied to the US App Store, which I created many years ago because certain Apple services and features were not available or fully supported in my region at the time, so switching to a local Apple ID isn’t really practical for me.

However, I’m not in the US or in a region where Wise cards or similar virtual debit cards such as a Deel Card, are supported. I also can’t transfer funds directly from Wise to my Deel account.

The issue I’m running into is that transferring the money from Wise to my local bank account comes with relatively high fees compared to the amount, which makes it very inefficient for such a small payment. This payment is already overdue by a couple of weeks, so I’m trying to resolve it as soon as possible. I’m also concerned about losing access to my iCloud storage, since it contains important personal data and backups tied to my Apple ID.

I’m trying to understand:

1. Is there any low-fee way to use a small Wise balance to pay for an Apple subscription?
2. Are there services or payment methods that people in similar regions use in situations like this?
3. Has anyone found a practical workaround for small balances where transfer fees end up being disproportionately high?
4. Are there any reputable virtual card providers that can be funded from Wise and used for USD online payments?

From what I’ve been able to figure out so far, one of the cheapest options might be having someone with a US bank account or compatible payment method make the purchase on my behalf after receiving the funds. The challenge is that I don’t personally know anyone who can help with that, and I’m not sure if there’s a legitimate service that facilitates something similar.
