To Repair or Not to Repair (some advice plz?) (UK)

I made a post about an issue i have had twice on my OP12 (a few months apart, so not super frequent) where it becomes completely unresponsive with the screen not even turning on at all. But last time i was able to fix the issue with a hard reset using the vol up + power button.

I suspect there's a faulty connection with the motherboard, causing all the components to switch off until rebooted. Obviously im concerned because if next time that hard reset doesnt work then i have a literal brick.

However... just found out repairs can take 2-3 weeks (way more than i was expecting), and from past experience i know it would take me a whole week to transfer all my files back on to the phone when i get it. Thats annoying enough, but my spare phone is kinda old and busted so im really reluctant to go send away my OP12

Do i:

A) Send my OP12 for a repair under warranty (assuming they do find the issue and cover it) and endure 2-3 weeks of using an old phone - and then suffer the week-long tedious grind of transferring everything back over from my PC to the OP12 when i get it back. I also have about 4 months left on my warranty so im just conscious of the fact that if the phone's issue escalates, its likely my warranty will have expired by that point

B) Just keep backing up my files *as i already have been onto an external drive*, and pray that the hard reset keeps working if the issue happens again

Anyone else have a bug where the phone becomes completely unresponsive? (UK, v16.0.5)

I had an issue maybe 4-6 months ago where I had a black screen but also the phone wouldn't respond to anything.

Plugged it in with original charger - no vibration, no visual cue. Tried moving the alert slider but no vibration. A literal brick

But then it randomly woke up like 2 mins later, and I just dismissed it as a one off glitch.

But it did the same thing today - complete brick (no response at all to power button, alert slider, charging) and it wasn't fixing itself after 2 mins or 10 mins or half an hour.

Luckily I managed to fix it with a soft reset holding vol up and the power button.

But obviously I'm still pretty concerned. Anyone else have a similar issue or even a guess at what the cause could be?

Can i still use a referral with a purchase if i first try the demo?

[Solved] Searched the sub but didnt find an answer. TB says referrals only work on the first purchase. If i take advantage of the 24 hour demo of the Pro plan, will this affect that 'first purchase' at all, or can i use the trial and then buy a plan inputting a referral code?
