Rant

I bought a 2020 red Chevy spark last summer…the breaks failed. I bought her from a used dealership. Have been trying to chase the car since it “ran away”. I own my mistake. I just wanted to join for how others love their sparks the way I did mine. It’s not the best vehicle in winter (-15•) but I know gas prices have gone up and I am big on saving.

Rejecting Cystoscopy Today

I have had reoccurring UTIs for the last year. Jan I was put on macrobid. May April and June cephalexin, clindamycin, and amoxicillin. UTI kept coming back, referred to urologist, they want to do a uroscopy/ cystoscopy. It burns to pee, I’ve heard that the procedure itself is weird but it feels like razor blades after going #1 for a few days. I’ve had ultrasound done to my bladder and kidneys. Kidneys are fine, but bladder has echo debris from the ecoli infection. My thoughts now are we know it’s a reoccurring uti that consistently shows ecoli. A cystoscopy just doesn’t make sense to me and I feel it’s too invasive. I haven’t tried protease or lipase but am thinking of telling my doctor I feel the cystoscopy is too invasive at this time and would like medication to breakdown the bacteria and any potential biofilm. I’ve been on amoxicillin 4 times since last June and the uti comes right back. I’ve had probiotics. I understand a cystoscopy shows what an ultrasound doesn’t, perhaps at least put this cystoscopy off until I’ve had a full course of antibiotics. With my infection I just know I’d be in too much pain after and I don’t even know yet if they’re willing to put me to sleep for the procedure. (I’ve ate and drank today and my appointment in the next 2 hours) so they can’t put me to sleep today.
Every UA I’ve had grew ecoli or had ecoli growth, and my ultrasound shows I have a bladder infection as well as echo debris. So I feel everything is pointing to an infection, not IC or ulcers or bladder diverticula. I wonder if it is valid to at least reschedule the cystoscopy or request a different urologist who may help with a less invasive procedure.
