YouGov is a P950.00 story. My balance with them on July 1, 2026 was 4,870.00 just some 130 points away from cash out when a glitch ran a snag on my account. I reached out to YouGov support but got a mum treatment. So I reported YouGov to Trustpilot. Seven days later, YouGov reached out to me and another 7 days came to pass before my account was reactivated and sent me right to a meter dash an email survey invite to complete the 5,000 points to redeem. The culprit --- corruption.
Corruption is a stumbling block to the Philippines' real economic growth. In recent times, corruption was so rampant in public works' flood control projects with staggering billions of pesos that went to the hands of corrupt project proponents, contractors and sponsors of these illegal transactions on local government units and their allied government agencies - justice, police and even the Commission on Audit (COA).
Now with this jaw-dropping 2027 P7.2 TRILLION, how much of it will go to corruption?
How much will government resort to utang (debt) to fund the nakaw (stolen) funds?
National budget increases every year. National debt also breaks record each year.
Corruption eats taxpayers' money. And there is no satisfaction, only increasing greed. The higher the budget, the more money gets stolen.
