Templar Knights and Who To Use For Their Commander

Hello all,

One of my good buddies has a deck that runs Shadowborn Apostle's and brings out cool demons. He runs this deck as mono black. I think the multiple copy of a single card idea is neat and is a space I have not deck built in. I typically build multi colored and haven't attempted a mono style deck. I know that mono white gets a bad rap but I want to build and deck tech out a mono white Templar Knight build. However, I am open ideas in a dual color space if its a must.

The mono white commanders I have landed on so far are:

  1. Hokori, Dusk Drinker: The white control commander who does not get a lot of play. The idea here is that the commander slows everything down but with the Templar Knights I can bring out artifacts that get around the mana crisis that would be created by Hokori.

  2. Avacyn, Angel of Hope: Flying, vigilance, and gives the knights indestructible. However, with the Templar Knights ability, I imagine I would tutor up a big artifact that can give them indestructible so I don't know if I would want that on my commander.

Multi-colored commander options:

  1. Sigard, Font of Blessings: goes into a human build and creates a lot of good protection for the knights and humans.

  2. Goldbug, Humanity's Ally: Just a neat commander trick.

3) Grand Arbiter Augustin IV: Operates kind of like Hokori but with access to blue.

Another thing that I am looking for help on is what big artifacts I could be targeting with the Templar Knights.

I appreciate any feedback! I'll update this thread as I update the build.

Thank you!

Chaos Sealed Pack Recommendations

Every year a few old college buddies and I get together to play magic the gathering. We all moved a way from each other so this gives us a chance to re-connect. We play a lot of edh but I also had us start doing a sealed chaos event. Essentially, each person buys a pack of their choice for each other player participating in the event. At the event we then give that pack to each person, so in the end you have a 6 different packs or however many people there are. From these packs you make a 60 cards deck, 20 life total, and we play a little tournament.

My question to the community is what is the best set/back to try and pull from?

I want to get every one a collectors pack from Edge of Eternities but if there was something better out their that might be a little cheaper, I could swing that way too.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
