Read so many reviews on the P50, is it actually good to consider as an upgrade?

I'm currently using an iPhone 17 Pro and I want to get a portable charger for it because I am constantly travelling. I was searching about 10K power banks for the iPhone and came across INIU P50.

It looks very compact and pocket sized and the reviews I've read mentioned that it has fast charging and works better than most heavy chargers or bricks. So I was considering getting one for myself.

But before I fully commit, is it really that good?

Hey guys, I needed glasses but I don't have any insurance coverage and frames and lenses from an optometrist here in Canada are super expensive (250-300+). Therefore I opted to buy cheap prescription glasses online for the first time. I bought 2 pairs. The following is my detailed review of both purchases and some general notes on my experience buying glasses online.

Firstly, I obviously needed my prescription. I opted to pay for this out of pocket at Walmart. It was about 80 CAD, not bad and I think pretty much an unavoidable expense. I had the optometrist write it down for me but told him I didn't want to buy any glasses. My big mistake was not asking for my Pupillary Distance. I didn't know at the time but PD is basically an essential measurement if you want to buy glasses online. Optometrists generally don't tell you your PD and just enter it themselves when making your glasses. Also some people online claim that optometrists deliberately hide your PD to discourage online glasses shopping but I can't confirm how true that is.

I did some research and found that highly accurate PD is more important for strong than mild prescriptions. Luckily my eyesight is pretty good so I was less worried. However, I still needed to get the measurement. I tried to do a self measuring trick using a ruler and a mirror that I found online. It was too difficult for me to get a clear answer, even with my partner helping me. Using the ruler trick I found my PD to be 64-66ish. After trying the ruler, I downloaded Glasseson that provides an accurate PD measurement using your phone's camera. The app gave me a PD of 68. I used the phone results when making my purchase. I was a little worried it would screw up the order but given my mildly bad eyesight and similar results from both measurement methods I decided to just go with it.

The company I purchased from was Firmoo. They had a great selection at cheaper prices. Prices ranged from 25-80+ CAD. I ended up ordering one of the cheapest pairs and a mid range pair. The entire order cost me around 50$ without shipment. I knew I was taking a risk buying glasses without actually trying them on but they offered 365 day warranty and 60 day return window so I was kinda covered. I also figured I could literally buy 5+ pairs and even if 4 looked awful on me I would still be saving a ton of money compared to retail glasses.

After that it was time to wait. It took almost 13 days for my order to arrive. Here are galleries of both glasses:

The first thing I noticed was the cases. The case is actually super nice. For something I see as essentially a bonus to the glasses, I am very impressed. It has a strong hinge and snaps open and closed very satisfyingly. It is nicely felted on the inside too. I would prefer if the case were plain black but I understand the marketing hustle. Both glasses came in a soft pouch that doubles as both a storage case and a cleaning cloth.

As for the frames I much prefer the look and feel of firmoo's round ones. They feel a little more delicate, higher quality and more intricate. The other one feels a bit chunky on my face. Its probably more sturdier but I don't think the style is for me. Both frames are quality enough and I don't see either breaking too easily. All of this is subjective and my personal taste though.

Vision quality is great. It seems my PD was correct enough. After multiple days I have no headaches or issues. I was a little dizzy getting used to the glasses but I read that is normal.

I guess my final takeaway is I'll be wearing the round glasses daily and keeping the other one in firmoo's case for emergencies haha. Hope you enjoyed my review. I know it's a text wall but I like to write. If you chose to buy your own glasses online, remember to get your actual PD and best of luck!

I’m planning to get an exercise bike for my parents (both in their early 60s) so they can stay active at home. Nothing too intense.
My mother also has some back issues, so comfort is a pretty big factor for me. From what I’ve seen, recumbent bikes seem easier on the back and more relaxed, which feels like a safer option. But at the same time, upright bikes seem to give a better overall workout, so I’m a bit confused.
I’m also working within a budget, and one of the options I came across is the Merach s19 pro, which seems to fit price-wise as my budget is 200-400
For those who’ve bought something similar for their parents or older family members, would you recommend going for comfort (recumbent) or a more standard upright bike? What tends to work better long term?
