I just bought a 1943 Husqvarna M96. In really nice condition, I just wanted a good shooter. I'm a bit confused about all the differences in Carl Gustav, Obendorf, Husqvarna. Some made at the turn of the century, some made in 1940s, etc. Is the 1943 Husky receiver any different, stronger, same? ​I'm hearing conflicting things about these being the ones where you need to be careful with 6.5x55, some say it's only the M94, some say it's all M96s, some say it's only the early 1900s M96s.

Yes, you heard me. Longest. I bought a Swedish M96 that is already very long with its 29 inch barrel already threaded, and I just want to make a hilariously long rifle. Recommendations?

I just moved here from a place with a surplus of muni golf, $40 rounds, etc. I'm a certified golf addict but I'm also not even close to being in the "private club" tax bracket. Any reccomendations for reasonable public golf in the area? I know it's an expensive sport, always have, but no way am I paying for $80+ rounds or $5k dues on the regular. Any advice appreciated.

Lately I've been very conflicted about voting. The 2A is my highest priority and I will continue to vote for it. But it no longer feels like I'm voting FOR anything, rather, simply voting against Democrat gun grabbers.

But frankly, I've just become more and more disgusted with the Republican party over time. Particularly the recent primaries. I don't care what you think about Massie, Cornyn, etc. The Republican party now only has one criteria: will you fall in line 100.00% with Trump?

This post is not about Democrats. I am well aware they are the worse option, and will not even entertain voting for them. But why is it that we must guzzle the boot from Trump as the only alternative? Being a moderate is the biggest cardinal sin in politics right now. ​

I'll continue to keep voting Republican, but not happily. Are there any other single issue voters who can help me feel less conflicted? I'd love to bury my head in the sand. Ignorance is bliss, but alas. Sincerely, a politically homeless gun lover.

Hi r/milsurp , I know this is a long shot but this is the only place I think might know. Recently I've been looking into a Springfield SA-35 as a Hi-Power clone. I've always loved the old Capitan model of Hi-Power, with the AK-style tangent/leaf sights. I know the older Hi-Powers have a different slide shape so it wouldn't be one-to-one (and probably expensive), so are there any good alternatives to put on an SA-35? I think the SA-35 is Novak style cut.

I have a slow 4-6 weeks coming up until Q3 kicks off. Q1 was busy and I had a small Q2 project that is going smoothly and wrapping up soon. I know my Q3 will be busy when bigger projects kick off in summer, but I'm worried about sitting around and twiddling my thumbs for the next month or so. But likewise, I don't want to volunteer for work and turn into the person that gets stuck with all the volunteer work. I'm trying to maintain a healthy balance of taking initiative without opening *that* door.

I have my eye on the new Springfield SA-35 4" version. It has a 15 round mag so it should be Illinois legal. I know for a fact because all of my local retailers carry the full size version which has the same mag capacity. They just don't have the 4" version in store yet so I was looking online. The only place I could find one in stock is Guns and they won't ship to Illinois. Any advice on how to find one?
