It was a great final and you were unfortunate on the day, but your fans were absolutely incredible.

I have followed Villa through highs and many lows, such as being relegated 10 years and struggling to return to the top flight. Not because I had to, but for the love of following the club.

Your fans are the same in this sense; even at 3-0 down you continued to cheer. I also met many amazing Freiburg fans out here in Instanbul and will be following the club more closely from now on. Football is not about winning, but about the love of our clubs, the love of football and the memories made along the journey
