Just did the volumental sizing on the website for a pair of 1907’s, and it told me to go with 9D. I wear a size 10.5 sneaker, size 10 boot and have worn some 9 and 9.5 boots from L.L. Bean (which are huge).

Does that sound right?

I finished a B2 course in my TL in the spring, and want to continue with conversation courses.

The school that I took my courses at offers a group conversation class for my level that meets for 3 hours 1 night a week. I actually enrolled in this course in the summer, and it was a group of people who have been taking the same class with the same people for years. They’re all very well acquainted, so the conversation was highly personal, and I didn’t feel I could contribute.

Also, I started a new job—and was just overwhelmed, so I stopped going to the course.

Now the school has opened registration for the August course. And I’m torn. I could do a private course, for more money, but I would get more speaking time. On the other hand, what would we talk about? I’m actually not a chatty person and don’t like talking about my life to strangers, or about current events or politics.

But I want to maintain my level.

What do you guys think?

I just got set up with a Xumo box, and I absolutely hate it. I hate the interface—I don’t want my tv to be like a streaming service. Can I get off of Xumo and get a traditional cable box with DVR?
