First time applying at Jobstreet

I submitted my application to a company in our local area through JobStreet. I was just wondering—how do they usually get back to applicants?

Do they message you directly on JobStreet, or do they contact you through email? How will I know if I pass?

I’m really hoping to get hired by that company.

Where/How do you make your resume?

Got me wondering lang. Meron ba kayomg fixed na application na pinag-eeditan.

And questions to professionals, do you also make use of templates or gumagawa talaga kayo from blank?

How do “average” students make their resumes stand out?

Hi! I am an accountancy student looking for internships. I just want to ask for advice because I feel a bit lost when it comes to building my resume.

To be honest, I’m just an average student. I don’t have a high GPA, I only joined one organization during my college years, and I don’t have any experience related to the accounting field yet. I’ve basically just been focused on passing my subjects.

I also didn’t even know before that students could already apply for internships as early as first year—I only found out about that through Reddit, which made me feel like I’m already behind.

Despite all of this, I still really want to get into a good company for my internship and hopefully even land a job there in the future. I just don’t know how to present myself well on my resume given my situation.

How can I make my resume stand out or at least get noticed by employers or internship coordinators, even if I don’t have much experience?

Any advice would really help. Thank you!

Best OJT companies for Accountancy students? Yung may future na rin sana

Hi! Incoming 4th year Accountancy student here. We’ll be starting our OJT na this upcoming school year, so I just wanted to ask for recommendations.

Ano yung ma-suggest niyong best companies for OJT? Yung hindi lang for compliance or hours, but also may chance na ma-absorb or makapag-secure ng job after graduation.

For those na naka-OJT na, saan kayo nag-apply and kumusta experience niyo? Preferably looking for companies that:

• May maayos na training and actual learning (hindi puro clerical work) • Okay yung work environment • May chance for absorption after internship • Plus points if may allowance kahit maliit

Open naman ako to audit firms, private companies, or shared services.

Would really appreciate your insights and experiences. Thank you!
