3 embryos sent for PGT-A and all aneuploid

I’m 40 and this was my first IVF attempt. We did two egg retrievals to bank embryos, and 3 embryos were sent for PGT-A. I got the results today, and unfortunately, all 3 came back aneuploid. I’m absolutely devastated.
I feel so hopeless right now that even the thought of trying again scares me. I just needed to share this with people who understand.
I truly hope things are going better for all of you. Sending love.

14 embryos on Day 5 and 3 ready for PGT-A. Hope for Day 6?

We had 14 embryos make it to day 5, so I was feeling really hopeful. Today the embryologist called and said only 3 were ready for PGT-A biopsy, and the rest will be cultured until day 6. I have to admit, that was pretty discouraging to hear.
Does this mean the others are still developing and just need more time, or could some have already arrested? I’m also 40, so knowing we may lose more after PGT-A makes me even more nervous.
Would love to hear from anyone who had more embryos catch up on day 6, especially around my age.

Headaches with Puregon

Hi everyone! During my first IVF stimulation, I used Meriofert + Gonal-F and didn’t have any headaches. This time, the only change is that Gonal-F was replaced with Puregon and the dose was increased slightly. Since starting stims, I’ve been getting headaches, which is new for me.Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

Big drop in follicle count from first to second IVF cycle

I’m 40 and currently on my second IVF stimulation cycle. In my first cycle, 12 eggs were retrieved. Now, on day 6 of my second stimulation, my doctor is estimating about 5-6 eggs which is half of last time. The cycles were only one month apart, with one rest cycle in between. I didn’t make any major lifestyle changes. The only differences were a few occasional drinks during the month off, not during stims, and having an abdominal CT scan due to diverticulitis. Has anyone else seen such a big drop in follicle count between two consecutive cycles? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences because I’m feeling pretty discouraged.

Turning 40, PGT, and the 1-in-5 Stat

Hey everyone! My doctor told me that at 40, about 1 out of 5 embryos typically comes back PGT normal. I currently have 4 embryos frozen, and we plan to do another retrieval soon before testing them all. Honestly, hearing that 1-in-5 ratio hit me hard. I’ll be 40 next month. If anyone has been in a similar boat or has any encouragement to share, I’d really appreciate it!

Day-4 Embryo Freezing. Anyone Else?

I just completed my first IVF cycle. We retrieved 12 eggs, 8 fertilized, and on day 4 my embryologist called to say that 4 embryos were developing well and had started cavitating, so they decided to freeze them at that stage. Since we’re planning another retrieval, my doctor plans to do PGT on all embryos together later. I usually hear about embryos being frozen on day 3 or day 5, so I was surprised by a day-4 freeze. Has anyone else had embryos frozen at this stage? I’d love to hear your experiences and outcomes.

Day 3 update

I’m almost 40 and currently in my first IVF cycle. We retrieved 12 eggs, 9 were mature, and 8 fertilized.
Today I got the Day 3 call and all 8 embryos are still growing. Now the wait until Day 5 begins 🤞
Hoping a good number make it to blast. Anyone else start with similar numbers? How did it turn out for you?
