30 days gambling free

30 days gambling-free after 2 years of straight gambling addiction. It wasn’t easy at first, but things have gotten so much better. I finally feel like I have control over my life again, and I don’t even have urges anymore.
I’m hoping to keep going and stay on this path. Sharing this for anyone who’s struggling: **you can do it too.** It may feel impossible at first, but it really is possible to break free. ❤️

Golden email received today

🎉 It’s finally here! Sharing my timeline in case it helps anyone tracking their own application.

CEC Inland with spouse
CRS: 520

Timeline:

ITA: Dec 10
AOR: Feb 8
BIL: Apr 14
Fd: Aug 11
P1: Aug 12
P2: Aug 14
eCOPR: Aug 18

Original PVO: Ottawa
Note: Processing office changed to Montreal later.

To everyone still waiting, hang in there! Your day is coming too. All the best! 🇨🇦

Important question:
I currently have a BOWP application in progress, but it has not been processed yet, and I’m planning to withdraw/cancel it now that I have received my eCOPR.

Can I withdraw my BOWP before receiving my new SIN, and continue working using my eCOPR/PR status? Or should I wait until my SIN is updated before cancelling the BOWP?

Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated!

Urgent Advice Needed: Tricky situation

Hi everyone,

Need some guidance on the best next steps for our situation.

My wife is the primary applicant under Canadian Experience Class. We got ITA in Dec 2025, submitted our PR application, and received AOR on Feb 8, 2026. Biometrics + medicals were completed on April 16.

Our current work permits expire on June 15, 2026.

My wife recently lost her job, but from my understanding she is still eligible to apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit since our PR application is already in process.
The confusing part is my situation as the spouse. With all the newer spouse work permit / TEER-related rules, we’re unsure what the smartest approach is now.

What would you recommend as the best next steps here?

We’re mainly trying to avoid losing status or making the wrong move this close to expiry. Any recent experiences or advice would really help. Thanks!
