Cat fall, bad limp, vet gives ok

7-Year-Old 13 lb. American shorthair Tabby.

I went for a walk in emergency after my cat fell 7 feet off catio shelf. They took my cat back, felt foot - said ok, did x-ray ( didn't include foot) - said ok. Sent me on my way without diagnosis, prognosis, expectations, etc. Just keep giving gabapentin for pain. 2 days, no improvement. I'm not sure what to do, or what to expect. I asked for copies of the X-ray, which they also x-rayed right leg? The right leg was fine. She licks at and holds up her left paw. I have a copy of her x-ray but I can't see a way to post it here.

Any suggestions?

Neighbor's trees touching my house

I've lived in my house for 18 years and the trees from one neighbor's property have touched my house on occasion but I have trimmed them back just a tiny bit, not even up to the property line. My property is small and in housing development that is next door to someone's property that is long and narrow and in the back of their property is protected trees. So it's not ornamental or something they planted. From my research, I've only found that is my responsibility to trim neighboring trees back to the property line. What I'm wondering is if anyone has had any success in getting a neighbor to trim their trees from reaching your house? The reason I ask is because I have trees on three sides that I need to trim and so I'm hoping that maybe if it's possible I could get at least one neighbor on board.

I spoke to the owner of the house on one side of me, she rents the house, and she just gave me the " go ahead " to trim her tree back. I explained that if I cut her tree back to the property line it's going to look horrible, because it will look really lopsided. It needs an arborist to actually prune her tree, but she just stopped responding to me.

My insurance company has informed me that trees cannot touch the house.

So, I'm just wondering what steps other people have taken to maybe get help from a neighbor to get the trees trimmed and /or what have you paid? It's been difficult to find pricing online.

Creatine and abnormal sleepiness

I tried it for my brain fog only and did not find much change but wonder if my issues are ADHD related instead. Anyway, i had noticed for some time I'd been getting super tired in the afternoon. I mean so tired i couldn't keep my eyes open and had to lay down for awhile until it subsided. One day after taking creatine, after not taking it for a couple days, I noticed it again and I made the connection. I'm wondering if anybody else has noticed this?

I did a little research and found that it can make some people tired and as well as several other side effects that can be rather negative and don't happen to everyone but happened to some people. People with kidney issues shouldn't take it, it can cause certain liver problems and kidney stones. There were other issues too. I suggest anyone taking it that hasn't looked it up to do a little research. I'm not going to take it anymore.

Understanding meter readings

I'm new to reading my own blood sugar at home and I've had one meter in my home for a while and I'm starting to use it and I just got a new one. Old one is One touch. New one is Accu-Chek. So upon waking my Accu check had my fasting blood glucose at 109 and my one touch had me at 96. Not too bad of a difference but still different. Then I ate a very small amount of beans mixed with rice and quinoa. 2 hours after Accu-Chek has me at 102 and One touch has me at 88. I don't know what to think about these readings and how to maybe focus on a bigger picture? I've been told I may be pre-diabetic by my doctor a long time ago but then they were unsure later. They've never suggested I see an endocrinologist or anything. However, at my yearly checkups they barely talk to me at all and often warn me not to ask questions because it's not covered by my insurance. 😑

I'm postmenopausal, 59-year-old woman. Mainly seeking advice on how to monitor my blood sugar. I only started looking because the other day I dropped to 58 2 hours after having a bowl of cereal and was feeling shaky.
