Hey everyone,

I'm a video editor working daily in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Currently, my workflow looks like this:

1. Offload original footage to my local NAS.
2. Copy the project assets/footage onto my PC's internal M.2 SSD for editing (along with project files, SFX, graphics, etc.).

While editing off the M.2 SSD is fast, my drive is constantly running out of space. I obviously don't want to delete past projects, but just coping the full project to my NAS after editing would trash my NAS because all the video files would be there twice now.

How do you manage your storage and project archiving?

• Do you edit directly off a fast NAS via 10GbE?
• Are you working with proxys?
• How do you organize your media and SFX libraries so they don't clog up your main drive?
• Do you just copy the project to the NAS? Bc if you later would want to change something you would have to search for all the media you used.
