Recently found out my ancestor wasn’t at the Siege of Yorktown

I once saw on his Find a Grave page that he was at Yorktown, but as you can see from this pension application, he wasn’t.

“The Struggle for the Star”, depicting the Siege of Ninety Six on June 18, 1781. Nathanael Greene again gave the British the victory when he ran away from the field.

This was another battle my ancestor was at. Again, too bad it was another Failure.

The 1st Maryland Regiment at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, March 15, 1781. The battle ended when Nathanael Greene ordered a retreat, giving the victory to the British.
