Equipment
Sony GS80 head unit
Infinity Kappa 4x6 speakers for dash
Infinity Kappa 6x9 speakers for rear corners
Memphis 16-SRX1.250 amplifier
I’ve ran 12 awg to the head unit for power and ground.
The amplifier is a mono block I got for cheap. If it won’t work for my setup I’m open to other suggestions in the 2-300$ range.
The 4x6’s I have left over from a system I tried to put in my Cadillac, the magnets were too deep. Plan on putting one in the passenger dash corner and one in the center of the dash where the original 4x10 speaker was.
6x9’s haven’t purchased yet but I really like the way those 4x6 kappas sound so plan on going with the 6x9’s for the rear. They’ll be installed with metal speaker brackets.
Would it be better to install the 6x9’s in the doors ? If so what tools do you use to neatly trim the door panel ?
What cutting tools are you all using to remove metal from the dash where a cutting wheel won’t fit ?
