Valve noise

Hey everyone, just got a new to me Motto Guzzi V7iii Stone. Around 5000 km only. It’s also my first bike. I love it. It’s exactly what I want out of a motorcycle.

I understand that the bike as part of its character has some engine noises. But when is it too much “character “ noise?

I hope that the last owner did the valve clearance at 1500 km but I can’t be sure. In this case, what would you do? Love from BC Canada

I think we could all use a bit of Goblinintamacy in our lives. (WHAT IS GOBLINTIMACY?
Simply put, goblintimacy means dating as your authentic self, even if that means looking like a disorganized, scatterbrained goblin.) — VICE 2026

At this point in my life I’m not trying to be somebody else. Just working on the best version I can be right now.
I’m a father to an incredible son, library worker who loves movies and books, and I’m getting motorcycle classes this month.
I live in a rural area close to Vancouver and get to town to catch a baseball game or concert or ramen craving.
Outdoorsy but not super sporty. I have been separated for over a year and divorce comes whenever we get around to it. Kid focused and non confrontational.
It would be fun to have some chats and see how weird other people are.
