I miss my darling daughter so much. It’s very difficult explaining to my 3 year old that her little sister is not here. It has been 9 months since she passed away and my eldest daughter still has a hard time understanding that she will not be coming home from the hospital. My wife says she sees signs in things - I don’t see any signs. I wish I did.
I had my first seizure on April 25th (Age 40). I do not remember much other than being released after a night in the ICU. I had a second seizure while I was having a CT scan that same day. I was placed on anti seizure medication however, throughout these past two weeks I’ve been having terrible back pain prompting an MRI order. This resulted in a diagnosis of 8 vertebra fractures. From T4-T11. I see the Neuro Surgeon today where we can go over options. I’m hoping for a back brace and letting them heal naturally as all the fractures are all considered minor.
I’m a bit scared that they will prescribe pain medication as I’ve read it can lower the seizure threshold. Has anyone dealt this a similar situation?
Just FYI - they are attributing my seizure to a bad concussion I received a week prior to the seizure while in Jiu Jitsu class along with using THC edibles. I was also weaning off prescribed clonazepam that I had been taking for a number of years after the loss of my daughter.
