To me personally, this is a helluva good deal for a dual fuel 6kw gas/5.4kw propane generator with 14-50R connection which makes for easy parallel with a $50 kit. So for $950 for a PAIR, why would anyone even consider a Predaturd 5000??? 😎🤔🤣. I mean… 10.8kw starting power and 9.2kw running power in parallel on propane!

What they've told me via messaging is something I didn't know nor did I see it from searching but makes sense. When it's set to the Away mode, it adds 1 degree to the Away temp so, it it was 1 degree, it goes to 2 degrees...which is from 8am till 430pm so I was noticing it at lunch when I was home for half an hour. Learn something new every day. Or two years later I guess. ha To get it to not add the extra degree, I need to make a custom comfort setting which won't add the extra degree.
Edit: I actually just got a message from an ecobee person who came across the post so we'll see what happens.

WEN DF680ix dual fuel for $670.32. Lowest I've seen that one with $138 off.
And here is their 240v 50 amp parallel kit where you could run TWO for double the power when needed for $61.70. For a pair of gens & parallel kit, you'd be at $1,402.34 and have more power than most anything in that price range.

Doesn't really seem to be a "Sale Price" but almost a new price? Hard to say. But, this Pulsar PGD105TiSCO is priced at Lowes for $2,060.14 right now at least in my area.
It's also "On Sale" at Home Depot for $1,979.97

But me personally, I'd buy two of these Genmax GM10000XiT open frame tri fuel inverter gens that are on sale for $999 ($250 off) and have double the capability in parallel and redundancy but the trade off is they are a little louder. Plus on NG, in parallel, you'd have up to 17kw/13kw power. 😁 Of course, a single will do a great job for the money. If you're in an area that the noise part doesn't really matter, then save the money and also have the Sam's Club guarantee.

My $20 Firman WH03342 I picked up last weekend that was major neglected is....alive! New NGK plug, new 10w30 synthetic oil, deep cleaned nasty air filter, major adjustments on valve lash as the intake push rod was off, new pull start handle, and some big cleaning. Need to order valve cover gasket and might spend the $60 on new panels to make it nicer and mostly clean again.
It has 740 hours that were put on in exactly 2 years and all was done while left outside in the weather apparently. This will just be a 3rd spare to have around to help out a neighbor, in-laws, friends, etc., as I already have 2 main dual fuel inverter generators for our house backup.
More to come but here's a couple of obligatory videos firing up on propane. Need to clean out gas tank if I decide to actually use gas.
I mean, I remember when these were out new at $359 each and they were touted by Radio Shack to be the best sounding speakers they'd sold. But wow... For $1,100, there are many other vintage & modern speakers I'd consider. But I get it. There's some single thing collectible for everyone out there. Heck, I even saw a completed/sold auction for $600 just for the four 10" woofers.
That being said, there's a pair close to me for $250 that need a little refinishing. Refoaming these woofers are a cinch. If I could get that kind of coin in return on that, I'd be all over it. ha
Also, this was a closed/sold ebay auction and nothing I bought. There's nothing about these that would "best" any of the 3 main pairs of speakers I own currently.
This may be taboo to mention here and, if so, I'll get rid of the post. I bought a group of things and it came with a Polk Audio CSi A6 center channel speaker that's in reasonably good shape and works great. I don't have a need for a center channel as I got rid of surround stuff 16 years ago. I was a manufacturers rep for the last 8 years of my first 25 year career (1984 till 2009) in mobile electronics & Home A/V, Home Theater, Home Automation/Control stuff and lost interest with all the corporate BS. lol
Also, sadly, I have a single Polk Audio RTi A9 tower speaker that was an orphan and no need for it. Anyone need that as a whole or as parts to maintain what they own now?
Located in central Arkansas just in case. It's always nice to have some spare drivers for "almost" vintage and vintage speakers as they are hard to come by. I have some for my Klipsch Epic CF-3 v1's & ads L1230's "just in case"

Interesting that the original webpage sale price said $500 off (reg $1300) but now says "You save $100". Even at $999 retail, that's a good price in comparison to the overrated/overpriced/outdated Predator 5000, the Duromax XP7000ih ($1699...ouch), and many others.

Wow... IF I did not own a pair of Genmax GM7500aIED's for single/parallel use and redundancy, I would seriously be looking at a pair of these Pulsar PG7600BiSRCO for $899 on a Flash Deal at WalMart. They already have the 14-50R connection so EASY to parallel with Pulsar's 50 amp kit and no neutral issues that I can see.
For $1800 a pair and a $50 parallel kit, in parallel mode, you'd get 13.8kw starting power and 11.4kw running power (on propane) which is WAY more than ANY of the 11kw single larger inverter gens and, once again, you have redundancy.
Even as a single, it's a helluva deal.
Yeah...free. Originally bought June 2024, left outside, maybe locked up (they said), nasty as hell, missing a side panel (cheap part), tank has gas left in it and nasty buildup, oil is questionable, etc. But, it did come with its propane regulator setup which is unused and that's all I'll ever run. The pushrod was off the rocker when I removed the head so it tells me the mouth lash was never adjusted. I love a project...it gives me something to do.
That being said, which Honda engine is this 193cc engine a clone of? The GX200? I'm trying to locate a complete hit assembly for this as it's questionable but maybe okay. I need to also replace the pulll start on it and a battery. I don't mind putting a little bit of money in it because it's really just more of a fun thing and I've wasted way more money on other bullshit through The years. (Those damn Vietnamese massage parlors...) 😁😎

I found out in calling Honda that this generator was made in 2005 so 21 years old. He also stated that many parts are showing NLA but that "some might be referenced online by other sources". Yeah. Pass.
Edit 6.3.2026 2:00pm: Well, based on its serial number and calling the local Honda dealer, it doesn't show an initial sale date and doesn't tell when it was made. Only thing he could tell from it's "VIN" number is that the original replacement inverter module is NLA but they have a newer "updated" module that is $728. Ouch. ha. I knew their parts would be pricey. Not sure I want to jump in at $500 for not knowing the year it was made.

I don't need this Honda EU3000is myself but thought about it for my daughter & son-in-law for their condo "just in case". I'm waiting to get the serial number on it so I can see the date of manufacturer and call my buddy at the local Honda Motorsports dealer so he can tell me if parts are still available not an "end of life" model. Currently has a dead battery on it as it has sat for a year as the older gentleman who owned it passed away a year ago. No clue on the hours as they don't put a digital meter on these. Isn't there another way to tell hours? Seems like I read it somewhere.
It does run and produce power. I've seen a video of it. I think they are wanting $500 for it but again, no telling how many hours are on it and its history.

Hopefully they will be back in as they are a hard value to beat for the money IF a person is using gas or propane. A pair in parallel, on LPG, will give you as much or more power than ANY single 11kw dual fuel inverter generator at 12kw starting and 11kw running power. And redundancy, of course. 😎
I've had mine now for 1.5 years and have absolutely no complaints. We haven't had a lot of outages in that time, which is about normal for our area, but seems like less since I did my generator setup. Go figure. In the last 6 months or so, I've gone down the rabbit hole of researching portable power stations to add into the mix but just can't bring myself to spend the money on even a basic short term outage setup. It would cost as much, or more, than what I have in my current setup and I don't really gain anything. They just cost too much for so little in return to me not to mention most have dismal customer service at best. If I did do one, I'd want it from Sam's Club but, unfortunately, they only sell limited Ecoflow stuff and they seem to be the leader in dismal Customer Service. I wish they had some Anker, Bluetti, etc. Oh well.
I've also thought about going to a single larger dual fuel inverter generator with a small one for backup or the basics. But then I think....why? I already have what works great for us. No, it's not for everyone for sure. But it works damn good for our needs and I know of others who have done the same setup because of it. (no, I get no kickback from Sam's Club...lol)
Edit: Based on new info, these are said to not like to work in parallel quite like my Genmax pair do. These parallel to 240v ONLY as there is no neutral wire coming out to their parallel kit. That sucks... Unlike my pair of Genmax, which have 4 wires (2 hots, neutral, & ground) that parallel and each have a 14-50R connection so it works perfectly.
If I didn't have my pair of Genmax GM7500aIED's from Sam's Club, this is a model I would consider IF they had the ability to parallel as 120/240v.
Not to mention, this is the same basic generator as the Duromax XP7000ih that's "on sale" for $1,799.
