Sainsbury's are using The BFG Again for the 2026 Christmas Advert! Is it Good News, Or Bad News.

https://www.campaignlive.co.uk/article/sainsbury-s-set-to-make-it-three-christmas-ads-in-a-row-for-the-bfg/413xssx33fv27zm97z0sb49td2

I heard from Campaign that The BFG might make a return again to the Sainsbury's Christmas Adverts!

And I think that might be Good News! Cause I think that The BFG might be like Kevin from Aldi!

I mean we did get a ad last year that The BFG & Annie catched that hungry giant!

So I think The BFG (Voiced by Stephen Fry) might get a new companion this time.

But what am I hoping for is Morrisons bringing back The Oven Gloves maybe, The Aldi Kevin Advert! And The New M&S Ad featuring Lucy Punch.

What do you think? Is it Good News from Sainsbury's, Or Bad News from Sainsbury's? Let me know in the comments down below.

We Need the Puppet Animatronic Churchill Dog Back!!

Remember those Churchill ads with that fella?

Yeah. Brings me back to those memories of when I would watch that Churchill ad when I was watching Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Trip On Sky Movies!

In 2019. They replaced that Cute loveable dog to WHOEVER THIS THING IS!! He cannot talk, He cannot nod, And he can't say a single "Oh Yes!"

He just sat there. On a skateboard! Is this really what Direct Line Group is doing with the Brand! We need to bring the Original Churchill Back to our screens!

It's been a while since Churchill aired ads like this. And now we need a New Churchill Ad when that Churchill for our memories came back!

They need to bring back Bob Mortimer or Stephen Alan Yorke, Or hire a Soundalike!

They need to hire back Artem for making the new puppet! Or they could get someone like The Jim Henson Creature Workshop to do it!

Please, Show your support for him and #bringbackchurchill

Is anyone else gutted about the new Peperami ads? They’ve binned the Animal again.

Alright lads, I’ve just seen the new Peperami "Be Bold. Be Meaty." advert on telly (the one with the barber giving sheep a mullet) and I’ve got proper mixed feelings.

They literally just brought the classic stop-motion Animal back two years ago, and now they’ve already pushed him back into retirement to try and appeal to Gen Z with "grounded storytelling." It feels like a massive misstep. The Animal is iconic British advertising history, right up there with the smash martians and the belly's gonna get ya guy.

Hear me out: they need to do what PG Tips did in 2024. Remember when PG Tips dropped that ultra-serious £12m "Rock Solid" ad directed by Steve McQueen, where Ashley Walters just stares at himself in a kitchen? They completely binned the knitted Monkey mascot to look "sleek and modern," and it was so painfully serious that everyone hated it.

Peperami is doing the exact same thing right now—trading pure, unhinged chaotic comedy for a high-concept, artsy ad campaign that absolutely nobody asked for.

If they are going to phase the Animal out, at least give us the inevitable massive U-turn next year. I want to see the Animal make a triumphant comeback, exactly like Monkey.

What does everyone else think? Has the new ad landed well with anyone, or do you miss the chaotic little pork stick ruining your commercial breaks?
