An old commercial about insurance or something with the quote “this must be the El Niño”

Posted this in TOMT but it hasn’t had any comments. A notification suggested here:

So this commercial was probably from around 1997/98.

I think it was for insurance? Or investing? Something that someone might stress over.

There were a few, the one I’m looking for has the spiel as it pans over a pilot’s face. Talking about how this thing can make you distracted worried about it.

Then it cuts to the passengers disembarking and then flight attendant who says “welcome to…. Hawaii”

And outside is a full on blizzard.

A guy in vacation wear says “this must be the El Niño!”

What I want is a gif of the man saying that but my searching is leaving me flat!

Additional: I think there was another commercial for the same company where it’s in like a Mission Control room looking at video sent back by the Mars rover. It has the same spiel as the pilot one. But the guy who is supposed to be watching has his back turned and misses a shot of aliens waving at the camera.

OMEGA XL commercial ENOUGH!!!

I HATE THIS COMMERCIAL !!! Everytime it airs my blood pressure shoots way up, I SHOUT AT THE TV "SHUT THE FCK UP A**HOLE!" , and I frantically jump for the remote to change the channel. SOMETIMES I just keep the remote in my hand since that G*****N commercial plays EVERY BREAK AND ON EVERY DAMN CHANNEL! How do they afford to air so many times ? Pass the cost back to their customers? Do they really think OVER CHOKEING AND FORCING their product on folks with mini infomercials every play with John POINTING HIS ACCUSATIONAL FINGER AT YOU! Everybody knows the meaning and response when someone POINTS AT YOU, PUSHING TOWARDS YOU, SHARPLY SPEAKING , " ARE "YOU" ....." ! FCK YOU ! DONT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT ! Thats too bad to , The issue about his missing kid, is horrific and heart breaking. For anyone in that situation. The whole thing he's responsible for with finding kids and all is GREAT ! VERY ADMIRABLE! But now I HATE SEEING HIS FACE AND HEARING HIS VOICE ! IT ALWAYS IMMEDIATELY SPIKES A NEGITIVE RESPONSE ! OMEGA XL PEOPLE WAKE UP ! CHANGE YOUR TACTICS ! GET RID OF JOHN , SHORTEN THOSE ANNOYING COMMERCIALS AND QUIT OVER AND OVER AND OVER PLAYING ON EVERY CHANNEL ! PLEASE !!!!!!!!! Why do you hide from your customers ? It's next to impossible to contact ANYBODY ! If you call, it either hangs up or its a busy signal or you go through hell with AI, then your # gets recorded for sale to 100 third party soliciting fools. If you try to contact through the web it gets screened and you will only get an email responce . Why do they avoid the public? Do they know what's trying to contact them ? HEY MARKETING GENIUSES, If people change the channel EVERY TIME your product airs, what do you think the success rate of your commercials actually is? Half the people don't even know the product name , just that ANNOYING JERK is on AGAIN ! QUICK CHANGE THE CHANNEL ! OH SH*T, THERE IT IS AGAIN ! CHANHE IT ! G*****N, THERE IT IS AGAIN ! CHANGE IT! OMG! AGAIN ! JUST SHUT IT OFF !

OH WAIT , Im the ONLY person who feels like this, RIGHT?

ORANGE CELLULAR A**HOLES PAY ATTENTION YOU ARE JUST AS ANNOYING ! 100%

AND... YOU , JERK A** LOUD MOUTH WITH THE THICK JERK GLASSES TRYING TO BE JESSIE JACKSON, PUSHING ATTORNEYS. YOU JUST NEED TO SHUT THE FCK UP .

....and ALL YOUR MARKETING REPS NEED TO BE FIRED !

A new way to use commercials to decide who to buy from.

I have decided that we've all been using commercials wrong. I now automatically assume that any company that has money enough to buy TV commercials and/or a lot of internet advertising has so much money that they don't need any of mine. So the more commercials I see by an outfit, the less likely I will ever buy any product or service they're offering. Kind of the reverse of the way commercials are supposed to work. Instead of driving customers to the product or service, they drive me away.

The little guy who isn't big enough to afford tv ads or a bunch of internet ads is the guy that's gonna make a special effort to make a product I can use and want to buy. Instead of some old slop that they make and then use commercials to try and convince everyone how great they are.

If we all did this, they'd get the message and stop making crap. Or is it too late for that? Are they already so big that they don't care about us, the consumers? Looking at all the cars with product logo's slapped all over them, Maybe it's too late.

90s-2000s water ad stuck in my head

Okay need some help here because im working on a memory that’s possibly 25 years old or older. I remember this commercial that had this really deep blue almost black turbulent water. As the commercial went on there was a male narrator (I don’t remember what he was saying) and under his narration there was a female vocal giving these etheral sounding ooooo’s and aaaaahhhh’s and I remember when the commercial ended the female vocal went into a soaring aaaaahhhhh that was higher pitched. Very hymn to the sea sort of vibe. I can like picture the whole thing in my head but can’t remember any of the words or what was actually being advertised. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? If it helps at the time I was in Staten Island and it was on Time Warner Cable.

[CERCO SPOT TV/CINEMA] Spot anni 2000-2010: ragazza parla dei suoi ex, ad ogni inquadratura cambia ragazzo, ma il finale è sul padre

Ciao a tutti!

What’s with the commercials?

I haven’t watched live tv in a long long time. Today I have bad YouTube tv on for maybe 2 hours and all I’ve seen are childhood cancer commercials, starving puppies commercials, and AI viagra commercials.

I’m so confused. Where are the Pepsi ads? The Taco Bell?? This is on multiple different channels too. I’m depressed now geez

[Fully Lost] 90’s animated Georgia Power Nightmare Commercial

In the late nineties I saw an animated commercial about a guy that worked for the power company. In the commercial he was having a nightmare that he hit a certain cord and knocked out all of the power in the entire state of Georgia. In his nightmare, there were women dressed up as devils singing “that’s the day that the lights went out in Georgia”. When he awakened he sang to himself something to the tune of, “if you see a flag DONT DIG”! I’ve been looking for this commercial for decades. YouTube, Wiki’s, Googles, GPT, everything! I can’t find it anywhere. Maybe one of yous know what I’m talking about, and can point me to where it might be so I can ensure it wasn’t me that had the nightmare!

Question about the Dick's Sporting Goods Commercial

I'm wondering if someone can help.

Amazingly I can't find this ad online so thought I'd just ask here. It's the one that shows in the store and they're talking about shoes. I'm just trying to find out who the actor is walking around the store talking? She's looking into the camera.

At the end she walks toward the camera and says something. I would attach a screen shot but the ad only comes up once in a while. TY.

Tv commercials that could be better!

The Progressive commercials where the psychiatrist tries to stop young homeowners from turning into their parents…Although I think they are humorous, I can’t understand why the young homeowners don’t look young or why the psychiatrist is old and probably incapable of teaching them how to act their age.
