those commercials with that fuzzy yellow character, along with the live action actor who speaks like a tumblr teenage girl ("swoons").

I think it's such annoyingly low hanging fruit for marketing that it feels stupid and lazy. I decidedly would not switch to Liberty Mutual for insurance because of those ads, so they are having the opposite effect on me.

I'm trying to identify a commercial from maybe the 70s. All I recall was that there was a kid who says, "I'll give you my hockey puck," likely in exchange for whatever the ad was selling. Any suggestions?

The star of the ad reminded me a little of Balki from Perfect Strangers. I think it was a Boboli or pasta sauce commercial. He talked about how his whole Italian family loved the product, including "the twins" (cut to two of him in kids' clothes, grinning guilelessly) and aunt... Gemma? (Him in a dress.)
