A buddy of mine bought this Daytona a few years ago. I’m sure he assumes it’s correct. To me it’s a 116500 series, but it really shouldn’t have diamonds should it? It could even be fake. Godzilla spec didn’t option diamond dials did they. I guess it might be legit with a dial that has been changed?

This is my late grandfathers 1952/53 Seamaster. He purchased this brand new in London. He wore it everyday until he passed in 1977. It was then handed down to my late father and it was passed on to me. It still keeps near perfect time which is amazing as it is now over 70 years old.
