*VIDEO* Attic Access Ladder/Hatch

https://reddit.com/link/1tkje9z/video/gbql00xnzo2h1/player

I have an attic access ladder/hatch with a spring (left side) that does not want to stay seated where it is supposed to be. The spring pops out of its seating when the hatch is closed. By inspection, it looks exactly like the right side, both arms that hold the springs look the same without any obvious damage or other apparent issues. Looking for some help to trouble shoot and fix, or just fix.

Thanks.

Attic Access Hatch

*Solved Update*

Thanks for the recommendations - I ended up using a combination of recommendations and it worked out. I bent the frame a little bit , while also reattaching the springs to the frame arm on the opposite side (with a little counter torque before reattaching) than what was shown in the video. All good - the springs are staying seated where they are supposed to be. Thanks all!

Greetings - attached a video with a full explanation of what my issue is. Can figure out how to adjust the springs to my attic access hatch so they don’t keep falling off where they are seated when the access is closed…. probably makes more sense to see the video.

Thanks for any help or recommendations - really appreciate it. 😊
