Oral Glycopyrrolate for Mild-Moderate Palm and Feet Hyperhidrosis — Anyone with Similar Severity Had Good Results?

22M with mainly sweaty palms + feet — anyone with similar severity had good results with oral glycopyrrolate?

My palm sweating severity is kind of random:
- ~15% of the time completely normal/dry
- ~50% moist but tolerable (can still use phone normally)
- ~20% enough to form droplets while using keyboard/mouse
- ~15% very severe, almost like freshly washed hands, especially during exercises involving grip/strength like pull-ups

Feet sweating is more constant when wearing socks + covered shoes, but surprisingly when barefoot at home, I’m mostly dry.

Other things I notice:
- hands are perfectly dry during sleep / after waking up
- hands get cold very easily in aircon
- sweating happens regardless of weather
- exercise is a major trigger

Treatments I’ve tried:

  1. Aluminum chloride — barely helped and made my hands feel terrible
  2. Oxybutynin — worked amazingly at first, then effectiveness dropped after about a month. Also caused dryness side effects.

I’m now considering trying oral glycopyrrolate before deciding whether to proceed further with ETS discussions.

For people with similar sweating severity/location:
- Did glycopyrrolate work well for you?
- What dosage worked?
- Did effectiveness stay consistent long-term?
- Were side effects manageable?
- Did it mainly help palms, feet, or both?

Would really appreciate hearing experiences from people with similar severity and location. Thanks!

Need Advice - Sweaty Palm Surgery (ETS)

If you have done ETS surgery for sweaty palm in Singapore before, please comment your result! Thanks!

Background: 22M have sweating on palms (mainly) and feet.

My palm sweating differs randomly… I would say 15% of the time it’s actually normal, 50% of the time moist but tolerable (like using a phone), 20% getting droplets (like when using a keyboard and a mouse) and annoying 15% when it’s like washing hands already (this only happens when I exert strength in exercises like pull-ups).

As for feet, it’s a super constant slow sweating if I am wearing covered socks with shoes. I hate slippers because they sweat and make it sticky. Surprisingly, when barefoot, I nearly don’t sweat 85% of the time, which is amazing and causes me to be slightly introverted as it’s convenient to be at home barefoot, not at other places.

Some things I notice: hands perfectly dry during sleep/just woke from sleep. Hands get super cold easily in an aircon room. When I exercise in any form. Sweating happens no matter the weather.

So the treatments I have tried:

  1. Aluminium chloride, makes my hands feel like an absolute piece of shit and doesn’t help with sweating after a week of trying. Not much feeling in feet, but doesn’t help with sweating as well.

  2. Oxybutynin, works amazing at the start but effectiveness drop a lot after a month of use. Also causes general dryness and very localized extreme dryness on my lower right leg, then moved to both of my hand.

So now after all these I really feel like doing ETS, I don’t think my palm sweating is very severe, but I would say annoying and disruptive enough at times. What’s your opinion if you had a similar experience of mild to moderate sweating severity like mine? Please share! 🙏 Thanks

(I am aware of other treatments like iontopheresis but I hate the idea of using it every other week to maintain, it takes too much time and effort.)

(To add on, my dermatologist specialist said people who he knows that had done ETS are very happy with the result. I am not sure if he’s giving me confidence or… because that’s not what the online community mostly suggests. Anyway, he referred me to the neurosurgery clinic to see the specialist there to discuss the surgery plan for my case in July, so I am researching more on this myself for now. Also it’s a public government hospital, so the specialist has no conflict of interest.)
