No Beam Weapons Allowed 2: Desert Shocktrooper

I used some ideas from other 30MM builds to make a versatile mech. I couldn't decide on a specific weapon config, so I tried all of them :) Missile clusters and Toblerone tubes of death courtesy of Kotobukiya MSG option parts. Decals are a mix of leftover Gundam kit markings and Mecha Decals waterslides. Let the Itano Circus commence!

Lucked out at the local hobby shop

While not a grail, it's a rare kit for me to find in the wild nonetheless. I can't say I care much for the Seed movie it came from nor do I care about its pilot, but I do like its gilded design cues. I yoinked it immediately and has now jumped first in line in my backlog queue :)

I didn't do a lot with the kit; I just smoothed out the undergated nubs for the gold parts then touched them up with gold paint and matte coated the visible interior frame. I also added parts from a "detail-up" set which added a metal rifle muzzle, metal pistons for the shins, and new verniers on the backpack. Quite a fun build from a conscientious effort from Bandai. If I had to do it again, I'd order a set of waterslides because the stock stickers don't mesh well with the gold luster.
