Hi everyone,

I urgently need advice / escalation help.

I’m an international master’s student currently in Germany (Kiel), fully dependent on my Expatrio blocked account funds for living expenses.

My blocked account is fully funded (~€12k+), but activation seems technically stuck.

Timeline:

• Completed blocked account activation process last Friday
• Completed first PostIdent identity verification
• Uploaded German address proof (Meldebestätigung)
• Dashboard remained stuck on “Awaiting activation”

Following troubleshooting:

• Repeated entire activation process
• Expatrio asked me to do PostIdent AGAIN
• Completed second PostIdent at a different DHL branch

Now dashboard keeps switching between:
“Identity verification waiting”
and
“Awaiting activation”

Actions already taken:

• chatbot support ticket created
• emailed support
• called support multiple times (waited nearly 1 hour, no human response)

I am now under real financial pressure because I cannot access my legally deposited blocked account funds.

Questions:

1. Has anyone faced this exact Expatrio activation loop?
2. How did you get it resolved quickly?
3. Did anyone successfully get manual activation?
4. Is it possible to get an urgent in-person appointment in Berlin?

I’ll be flying from Mumbai to Frankfurt on the night of 2nd May via Gulf Air, as I’m heading to Germany for my Master’s studies (Summer 2026 intake).
