First SKS. Bayonet Attachment?
Just picked up my first Sks. It has the bayonet blade but missing the attachment piece connecting it to the barrel. What is the actual part called for me to search/buy?

Been wanting to pick up an Sks for a while.... Put up some of my guns onto GP to feel out the market this morning, got a message a few hours ago offering a trade for two of the 3 I posted.
Anyway. Deal done. How did i do? Dollar asking amount matches but what would you prefer.
My:
Ithaca XL900 12 Gauge Semi-Auto – Made in Japan @ $550
Savage axis Xp (new shape) in 308 win @ $600
For their:
Russian Tula SKS W/ 40+ stripper clips, bayonet, detachable and fixed mag, all matching numbers exc mag and obviously stock, hush folding stock. @ $1150
She isn't perfect but neither was my 12 gauge. (The 308 was pretty minty though)
Thoughts and opinions
I can't say I dont miss the traded guns already, but hopefully this brings a new joy!
Hey all. So this is a tad silly but struggling to find solid answers in regards to which gun is which.
I have 2 Savage axis rifles.
The camo was listed as a axis 2 (in 308) and the black as a standard axis (in 223).
Now i don't know a lot about these guns and consider everyday a learning day, so please go easy on me.
Ive had the camo one for a few months and enjoy it for what it's worth, and only picked up this black one because it was $350 on GP.
The black one has an amazing trigger compared, making me think its the axis 2, with an accutrigger. Its bladed, easy pull and alot more smooth.
Now what confuses me is the black one (suspected axis 2) looks alot older in design, both in the logos (pics included) and stock design (more curved / less sharp)
The camo one looks a lot newer, sleak design and updated weaver scope (both are the xp package with weaver scopes).
Any info or even a straight answer will be appreciated!
Where are yall buying sks's these days? Everywhere seems to be rocket high, and as a first centre fire semi, I have to go SKS....

What is the legality of shooting out the bed of a truck? I read that shooting from vehicles is illegal, but a stationary, non running (keys in pocket) Truck bed surely is different?
You may ask why? Alot of it is to do with cleanup, shooting in the bed contains more of the dumped shells then free shooting from the ground, trying to do my bit for local shooting spots and keep it clean.
Any advice is appreciated!
