GX night lines 📸

GX night lines 📸

I'm at the campground this weekend and captured this shot of our GX post-sunset last night. I love the lines on the new 550. The silhouette really captures it well.

944 fun 😎

Project cars are more than just wrench’s and crash outs right? As a branding guy I couldn’t help but take our household 944 journey to the next level this month. My son named our 944 Midas early on, so I ran with it for some swag to bring to 944fest (and beyond). The test prints came in and I gotta say, I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s fun to design random stuff for our fun little car.

Photo says it all. Slow 😅

Wife caught my son and I on a drive. Had to laugh when I saw the photo and the road said SLOW 🤣

944 Night Out 📸

Still testing out my new (to me) Fuji; the 944 is a perfect subject. Here are some of the better shots from last night. Trying to get in as much practice as possible before we venture down to VIR for 944fest. 🤙

First month with my XT30 📸

I'm still learning the Fuji XT30 camera and post-editing process. Approaching this with a beginner's mind, trying everything, getting out of my comfort zone, and going on a photo journey to find the vibes and styles I like. Here are a few shots from the past 30 days. All thoughts are welcome.

Fuji XT30 + Porsche 944

Picked up a barely used XT30 and having fun with it already. I’ve done a little photography back in the day and excited to dive back in. I’m relearning settings, compositions, etc. My son and I began our project car journey this year with a 1987 Porsche 944 and it’s a great subject to capture with the new Fuji. 📸

I’m excited to get better at the overall camera and editing. Night shots coming soon.

Fuji + 944 v2

Testing our new camera 📸 in prep for 944fest. Loving the retro vibe on these shots paired with my friend’s midcentury modern home. I’m planning a night shoot at the same house in the coming weeks which I expect to create amazing images.

Fuji + 944

Testing a new (to me xT30) camera. Excited for night shots and 80s electric light vibes.

Mat for back (w/ 3rd row)

Am I crazy, or, with my 3rd row down this mat should fit right? The dimensions should be close? We have our 3rd row down 80% of the time and I want a good mat for the back. I’d prefer to have a Lexus mat versus some random WearherTech solution.

Father son time at its best 🙏

My son and I have been working on our “new to us” 87’ 944 NA since November. I knew it would be fun, and challenging. But I couldn’t have imagined just how much else we’d get from it. The weekend drives, the laughs, the connections in the 944 community, the upcoming 944fest road trip, and the pure and authentic bonding around a shared interest. We already had a wonderful relationship, but this car has unlocked a new level of memory creation that is invaluable. This slow, poor mans Porsche is over delivering. 🙏

These photos are just a few from our cruise today. We just installed a manual steering rack and wanted to test it out. So far so good ✅

Sunday night vibes 😎

There’s something about shooting the 944 around dusk. The body lines really stand out.

Sway bar is like new again 👍

As part of our manual steering rack upgrade I did some work on our sway bar. Cleaned up all the hardware and bar itself. Plus we added new drop links and Powerflex bushings. Looks brand new! First drive yesterday and the body roll was noticeably reduced 👍

Tell me there’s a better solution for the alternator vent hose 🙏

I’ve been wresting this alternator vent hose for an hour after removing it to install a new manual steering rack. This thing is fighting me big time. Is there a better solution? Something more flexible and forgiving? This one from 944online is too tight and giving me hell.

Mixing my two lives. Design by day, 944 after hours.

Just having some fun making stuff for our 944. My son (it’s our project car) wants some cool swag and stuff to bring to car shows with our 944. So I’m cooking away. Shirts, stickers, etc. I thought this exploration turned out pretty cool. It’s a photo we got in Greenwich, Connecticut while attending the Concours show a few weeks back.

Met some new Porsche friends yesterday🤙

Local car show was a hit this weekend. We met some new Porsche friends, and, they live on our street! Our neighborhood is about to be a good time. Vroom vroom.

H&R Spacers ✅

Finally pushed the wheels out. 21mm on the back. 7mm on the front. I would have gone wider on the front but didn’t want to deal with longer bolts, etc. The 7mm slipped right on and torqued well.

It’s such a better stance for very little work and cost.

What’s the best way to clean the inside of the rim? Is that even worth it?

Do Outlaws fit late offset?

I’m getting mixed info. It seems like some people have success getting these Outlaw rims on late offset 944s. Is that with major work on suspension and fender work?
