I’ve had my Action4 for Mtb trail vids for a while now & it’s great apart from one annoying feature. I only use video record mode & start /stop my recordings with the top button, however sometimes I find it’s swapped back to photo mode which is annoying when I wanted to start recording an mtb segment in flight. This seems to happen more if I haven’t used it for a few days but it very annoying when it does as I have to stop and change modes . Can I stop this mode change happening or is it a “feature” ?

I have a Cardo Packtalk in my lid for comms and GPS directions when needed , when it’s paired with my Garmin XT & phone it can also play music from my phone with the XT acting as audio hub however it’s not something I usually do. Today however it decided to auto play my phones music store when I was out for a ride & kept restarting when I pressed the pause option. I found it very annoying and distracting from the road I was riding and probably knocked an easy 10mph off my average as it interfered with my concentration/flow.

Does anyone actually like riding with music playing? I can’t say I want to repeat it ever. !!!

PS found it kept restarting the tunes as I’d left the music app open on phone before starting the ride which seems to make the XT keep it playing (bug /feature?) so hopefully I can prevent it doing it again in future by making sure the phone music app is closed beforehand.
