- A bolsa é limitada.

Vale a pena?

Is it worth doing the nuss procedure for aesthetic reasons?

I’m in my mid twenties and on this upcoming september I can have the opportunity of having the nuss procedure done to fix my pectus.

The thing is, my doctor told me that the pectus is not affecting my pulmonar and cardiovascular capacity. He didn’t tell me anything about the haller index, but if i had to guess I’d say it’s between 3.00 to 3.50.

However, he said that while the pectus is only aesthetic, my case is still worth doing a surgery over.

While this is partially what I want since I’ve never liked my chest and always wished to get it fixed, now that I actually have the opportunity to do it i’m very hesitant.

Things like how painful post op is, having to basically learn how to walk again, not being able to lift more than 5kg for months on end, are keeping me on edge. I’ve also read reports about people still feeling pain and discomfort a year or so after the procedure.

I feel that I will regret not moving forward with this but i’m also unsure if it’s worth dealing with the post op hassle considering my pectus isn’t affecting anything besides my self esteem and maybe my posture.

Looking to study in Poland full-time

Hey everyone,

I'm a EU citizen and I'm considering applying for a Master in Management at Politechnika Gdanska, and I was wondering if anybody knows if the university is any good, and how international the city is, not only community-wise but also for job opportunities.

I did Erasmus in Wrocław last year and had a really positive experience in Poland overall. I visited Gdańsk for a couple of days and I enjoyed the city as well, but visiting is different than living there of course.

Right now I’m exploring options for doing a master’s abroad, and Poland is one of the countries I’m seriously considering because of my previous experience there. My main concern right now is long-term sustainability as a full-time student. I have some savings, but I’m not sure they would comfortably cover the full academic year, so I may need to work part-time while studying.

I guess my questions are if there's a huge difference between Gdańsk and Wrocław in terms of social life and student atmosphere; if it's relatively affordable for students and how realistic it is to find a part-time work as an international student, as well as how strong is the international job market in Poland as whole.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
