The crab on the (image) left is Charybdis feriata and the crab on the right is Scylla olivacea. Or crucifix crab and mud crab.
It started as an inside joke and I committed to the bit. I am the priestess of a crab cult, and I got these to honour the crab god Carcinos (praise be 🙌) lol
I sent her a the drawing and basically said “go nuts. got some of my favourite tattoos out of it
She’s a nine year old eclectus and it’s literally just started about ten minutes before I took this video. She’s been chewing on her leg and scratching like she’s nesting and when standing on this pillow her toes twitch. She has nothing wrapped around her leg, foot or toes.
We feed her Harrison’s corse pellets, Hagen Tropimix, veg, fruit, and nutriberries and cashews as treats.
We ran out of the tropimix and substituted for beaphar xtravital until we could get the other food and that has more seeds in it than nuts and dried fruits so she’s been eating that mixed with the Harrison’s for a few weeks.
It’s been about half an hour now and she’s still doing it.
