Peugeot Touraine 90s

Here is my bike that I I retired from my grandpa, it's a 90s Peugeot Touraine Bike Made in France, I had thoughts about stripping it down completely and upgrading almost everything but my budget is kinda short for carbon wheels and a full new groupset 😬.

What do you guys think i should do ?

I had fun making ai simulations with Modern parts, but it will probably be impossible for me to build money wise. Still cool tho.

What do you think and what upgrades should I make (new groupset, brakes)

Getting into cycling

Hey, so I have been wanting to get into cycling for pretty cheap, I am a student. My actual bike is an old road/city bike Wich I inherited from my grandpa, and I am very attached to this bike. I was thinking I could maybe strip it apart and build it back up with new components keeping the frame, but I don't really know what to look for, my dream would be to install carbon wheels, but they are pretty expensive.

I am very crafty and that is why i would find it interesting to build this bike from scratch again, and I was wondering if it was possible to install disk brakes on an older bike, will it be safe to ride if I weld custom brackets on the bike to support the disk brakes since the frame wasn't build to function with disk brakes, and also do you have recommendations for good quality parts that are pretty light and that I could find second hand, or just cheaper options for the whole groupset and wheels.

I made a simulation using chatgpt to see what it could potentially look like in the end but the parts I provided him to make this are out of my budget. Would it be a good idea in your opinion and what parts should I be looking for?

Getting my first bike

Hey, so I have been wanting to get into cycling and buy or build a pretty good bike for the cheapest (I am a student). So I have been looking on second hand websites and stumbled across a kit including gir's gmax frame from 2012 (I don't know if it is a big deal that it is old), a Ritchey monocurve, a SRAM force 172.5 BB30, Rotor 53/39 and a dura ace chain.

The frame is my size and the whole pack is 500 euros. Is it interesting for me or not so much? I don't know a lot about carbon bikes but I have heard that they can crack invisiblely when taking an impact and break at a random moment, is this possible or is it bs?

Thanks!

I'm getting into cycling and need to buy a bike

Hey, so I have been wanting to get into cycling, but I don't really know what to do. My current bike is an old peugeot Nika that I inherited from my grandpa, I serviced it and it works great but it still is pretty heavy and a bit small for me. I use it daily to go around the city but I don't see myself using this bike for cycling trips.

I am a student and I don't really have tons money, so I was wondering if building a bike using Chinese carbon parts would be interesting. If I could have a decent bike that looks and feels high end and build it myself for around 1000€ tops.

What do you guys think, would this be possible and is it interesting to do so in my situation? If so what brands would you recommend, and where should I be looking?

Hey, so I am a fashion design student and would really like to have access to clo3d, I had downloaded it in the past but corrupted my hard drive along the way lol. So I was looking around and the only few links that I found were getintopc and FileCR which both make you download zips protected by passwords, which is a big nono because you can't scan the files for viruses. So I was wondering if any of you guys had safe links or files to the latest possible version of clo3d for windows
